I have a laptop with no sound card, and it only has DOS installed.
A question:
is there any software for simulating a sound card with the PC speaker under DOS?

There isn't such software, but there is software that can use the speaker to play sound in DOS. I used it before, and the effect wasn't good. It's best if you install a sound card, then you can also play emulator games. Also, Kingsoft Yingba II has the software you need, but it's under Windows.
This Kingsoft Yingba is a 1996 product!
