DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

I used the PING98.IMG file to make a bootable CD. It worked fine on my home computer, but when I tried booting at my dad's company it went straight to C: and couldn't display Chinese either. What's going on??

It's possible you pressed some key during startup,
normally such a strange bug shouldn't happen!
Try it again and see if it still does this!
Then tell me more specifically about it!
OK!

The following is quoted from 沈洁 on 2003-7-30 1:12:03:
I'm now uploading the repackaged EBD.CAB and TOOL.CAB!
Below is EBD.CABopen attachment
Below is TOOL.CABopen attachment
Try replacing EBD.CAB and TOOL.CAB with the ones above!
The problem should be this, right!
But you definitely have to delete scandisk!
There's not enough space!
The CAB file compression ratio is too high,
sometimes this kind of result will happen!
I'm really very sorry!
But generally this problem won't happen!

I've also found that it works after partitioning!
But the problem is that only lowering the CAB file compression ratio can avoid this kind of thing from happening!
It's really strange!
I don't have any effective solution either!
