Wengier, the MS-DOS 7.1 boot disk can't recognize FAT32! - China DOS Union Forum

I'm using your 2003-7-2 one. My hard disk is a Seagate 7200RPM 60GB, Althon 1GHz CPU, 256MB RAM, Gigabyte GA-7ZX-H motherboard (KT133A chipset). The hard disk partitions are as follows: drive C 3.99GB (NTFS), D 7.99GB (NTFS), E 12GB (NTFS), F 16GB (NTFS), G 15.8GB (FAT32).

No matter which option I choose at startup, it can't find my G drive. Even stepping through without loading any drivers doesn't work.
But the boot disk I made myself before works. Please give me some pointers, webmaster. Thanks.

Also, after looking at Config.sys in your boot disk, I have a few questions:

FCBSHIGH=4,0 //Aren't these values a bit too small? Making them a little bigger wouldn't take much memory either.
FILESHIGH=30 //Aren't these values a bit too small? Making them a little bigger wouldn't take much memory either.
BUFFERSHIGH=30,0 //Aren't these values a bit too small? Making them a little bigger wouldn't take much memory either.
LASTDRIVEHIGH=32 //What does 32 mean? I remember it used to be indicated with letters.

Try loading ntfsdos!
You should be able to see it!

His problem is the same as mine.
Try replacing io.sys and then try again, and you'll be able to find it.
Specifically, the "anti-logical-lock" io.sys has a bug.

I don't have a floppy drive. Can I use WinImage to directly replace io.sys in the IMG file?

Just use this newly released latest MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk and it'll be OK, and there are some other updates too! Download link:

NTFSDOS is for loading NTFS partitions, so it shouldn't have anything to do with FAT32, right?

I suggest removing the logo function. It could also save about 100k of disk space, for users to edit freely!
