If I remember right, it was 63-64 files. Logically, your files should be enough. It's best to copy the files to the hard drive before installing the system. Your computer has so little memory and can still run 98, that's really asking a lot of it. According to Federal Software News from 1995, the minimum for the English version of Win95 was 4M. If it really won't work, try Win95 instead.
