I’m a LAN user. I know there is one machine on the network, because we go online through its sygate proxy, and I know its machine name is interserver plus a username root and password, but I just can’t find this machine on the LAN. How can I find it? My computer is using Win2000 Professional. I haven’t pinged that machine.

Hong Kong is a place with diverse cultures and frequent interaction. I guess ROY has had a lot of exposure, so he knows a bit of everything. Guangdong also has a city like that—Shaoguan. People there can often understand Mandarin, Hakka, Cantonese, and Teochew as well.

You didn’t explain the problem clearly. What system is your other machine using? Are you using two network cards between you to get online, or are you using a switch!!

PING his machine!!! Also check whether the IP address, DNS, and gateway on your machines are set correctly??????? Or whether the other side’s network card driver is installed properly???????
