Whether under DOS 6.22 or DOS 7.0 (Win95 DOS mode),
if I run DOS4GW TWNEW.NEW then the following error appears: DOS/4GW fatal error (1008): can't coad executable format for file twnew.exe After repartitioning the hard disk -- formatting - reinstalling the system (DOS 6.22 using an old DOS installation CD from the 486 era), it still cannot solve the problem. The machine specs are Founder Wenxiang series. |

The syntax of DOS4GW TWNEW.NEW is correct, but the format of the TWNEW.NEW file is wrong (that is, it is not a format that DOS4GW can load)..

A program written using DOS protected mode suddenly cannot run anymore (occasionally it can a few times),
after reinstalling the system and changing machines (five of them), the problem still cannot be completely solved. Why is that? |
