I used WinImage to convert a 1.44MB floppy disk image into a 2.88MB one, so I could put some more files into it and use it as a boot image for a CD. But I found that this function in WinImage seems to have a bug: it causes the contents of one file in the latter part of the image to be damaged (the file size does not change, but part of the file contents is no longer the original), making it unable to run normally. Why is this? Could it be a bug in WinImage itself?
Supplement: My WinImage versions are the old 3.0 and the latest 6.10. |

The following is quoted from Wengier's post at 2003-8-6 6:34:23: Did you first put the floppy containing the boot files into the floppy drive, and then use winimage's "change format" to convert it?? But every time after I select 2.88MB, as soon as I press convert, a warning pops up saying it can't be converted!!?? Please advise. |

Doesn't seem like I've tried it, download the latest one.

I have run into this when converting non-DOS-format *.img/*.ima files; I haven't seen it yet with DOS-format files.
I'm using winimage 6.0 Simplified Chinese edition, with a serial generated by a keygen, registered in professional mode. |

Mine works fine too, using the English version.
