Today, I first used DiskEmu to create a multi-boot DOS bootable CD by myself. I successfully put the MS-DOS 7.10 super boot disk (1.44MB), the ROM-DOS 7.10 boot disk (1.44MB), the MS-DOS 7.10 full installation version boot disk (2.88MB), the GNU/FreeDOS+Qube graphical boot disk (1.44MB), the full Chinese Mini-Windows 3.2 boot disk (1.68MB), etc., all into one bootable CD ISO image, with a total size of 10MB! It also has some very useful functions, such as the option to boot from a floppy disk, boot from a hard disk, etc.

In the MS-DOS 7.10 basic mode boot, the ELORITO.SYS CD-ROM driver was used to occupy the minimum memory (smaller than VIDE-CDD.SYS! And you can get the drive letter for the virtual main CD-ROM at one time). Since this is my first formal use of DiskEmu to make a bootable CD, there may still be many deficiencies. Everyone is welcome to download and test and put forward suggestions. Thank you..

I always think that the focus of research should be shifted from floppy disks to CDs. Now many computers no longer have floppy drives, including many laptops. And CD boot has become a necessary option in BIOS. Not to mention the lifespan of floppy disks...

To make a DOS bootable CD, do you first use NERO to make a bootable disk and then burn the relevant DOS onto it, or do you directly burn the relevant DOS into NERO? Also, when burning, is it to burn the relevant DOS directly or make the relevant DOS into an ISO first and then burn it? zzfzp@163.net QQ:305688
