Why is it that after booting into DOS with MS-DOS 7.10, when viewing long filenames I still can't see the full names (the long filenames still have this ~ symbol)?? And Chinese filenames are still garbled??

When you use DIR to view long filenames, are you looking at the left side or the right side? When viewing Chinese long filenames, did you load the Chinese character support system?

So that means there will definitely be a "~" symbol on the right side of the long filename, right?? Also, after loading xzl, when I use Dir on files with Chinese characters, what gets displayed is garbled?? Please advise!!

NTFSDOS doesn't support Chinese long filenames on NTFS partitions.. but DOSLFN does.
