What about in an automatic batch file?

In BAT you can use >NUL
For example: LH MOUSE >NUL, then there won't be any display at all when loading MOUSE...
As for CONFIG, just move whatever is loaded in config into the bat to load it...

Very simple!
Add this line in CONFIG: MENUCOLOR=0,0

Thanks to both of you, neither method works. If a batch file run from config.sys uses >NUL, it simply won't run at all (for example, copy a:\command.com d:\ >NUL, and as a result it doesn't get copied at all); adding menucolor-0,0 makes the display color relatively dark, but it can still be seen easily.

Actually what I meant was, wouldn't it be enough to just choose two identical colors!
If the colors are the same, then it won't be visible!
You can try some other colors!
