Remember in the 1990s, there were various menus everywhere in computer rooms. Personally, the most beautiful one I saw was the Danqing Studio in our Huangshi.

The author of the menu is said to be a collaborator of Qiu Bajun and one of the developers of China's first game "Zhongguancun Revelation".

At that time, a menu written by a big shot in ASM attracted me. Unfortunately, after so many years, many classic software from back then can't be found at all.

Recently, I suddenly got nostalgic and took the time to pick up TC + SVGA that I haven't used for decades to write a menu under DOS. Although it's different in structure from the big shot back then, I'm confident that the interface is not comparable to the 640X480 back then. After all, it's a DOS program with 1024X768 256 colors.

1.3 Update Instructions
Fixed the error of the startup BAT file
Software renamed to "Blue Crystal DOS Menu"
Added switch option for shadow buttons

1.1 Update Instructions
Fixed bugs
Program changed to not stay in memory, saving precious DOS memory
Merged two configuration files into one
Added an optional menu without shadow buttons

Baidu Netdisk download link: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1jI5h4hS Password: itvg

For those who provide valuable opinions or find major bugs, a set of software with a new color scheme can be provided.

If the current directory is not writable, it's a tragedy...
I think it would be nice if the run.bat could be defined in which directory it's written.

This is not a problem. You can load a virtual disk yourself. There will be more people who don't know how to use too many parameters.

If we can accept losing some traditional DOS features and consider porting this underlying hardware usage to 64-bit, taking advantage of the large memory now, while still requiring simplicity in structure, what would that be like?

On top of completing this port, we can superimpose menu and desktop creation.

(Hard drive setup is also an issue. If we switch to Chinese, how should we consider it to replace A:B:C:D:E:F: drives and / /home, etc. From the perspective of a Chinese primary school education's literal understanding habits. Gradual consideration from fragmented to partial to overall.)

There's also a question: If many people had the idea of self-made DOS ten years ago, and ten years later, looking at this issue again, would it still be the same as originally? (There should be a serious consideration from both feasible and innovative aspects, rather than just judging from the emotional impression of the usage level.)
