My drive is formatted as NTFS. After booting with Dos7.1, it seems I can't install Win2000 or 2003 from the hard disk~
Sometimes it says drive C has no space (the boot disk takes the drive letter C), sometimes it says there isn't enough memory~
How can I solve this?

Just boot directly from the Win2000/2003 CD.

I tried installing from I386.
Sometimes it says drive C has no space (the boot disk takes the drive letter C), sometimes it says there isn't enough memory~ it didn't succeed.

Any good boot disk recommendations~

After booting, some temporary files get mapped to drive C. Since it's NTFS format~ at first the hard disk can't be seen.
How do I solve this~

windows2k apparently expects you to boot from the CD, because if you boot from DOS, it has to copy part of the files to the hard disk and then boot from the hard disk, which is super slow!

Why don't you understand what I mean?
My hard disk is NTFS format, so right after booting, I can't see my hard disk.
So the boot disk maps the stuff on drive A to the drive with letter C.
Then when I run NTFSDOS.exe, the first hard disk drive letter is D.
When installing the system it says drive C has no space!!!
How can I solve this?

Then you could make drive C a bit larger... that is, change the XMSDSK setting value.

Why do you insist on using Dos7.1 to boot and install Win2000 or 2003?
Can't you use the boot floppies provided by MS to start the installation?

Then is there any way not to map it to drive C? I want to run NTFSDOS.EXE directly first so I can see drive C.

Try this
http://www.skycn.com/soft/12556.html
After making it, put NTFSDOS.EXE into the boot disk
Then try this boot disk!

This still doesn't work. Drive C became the CD-ROM drive, and several hard disk partitions can't be found either~

Isn't there some software that can make DOS recognize NTFS format? Try looking for it.
