I also want to ask the experts on making multi-boot disks: why is something that's only 1M in size made as a VFD file instead of an IMG file? If someone doesn't have VPC software, how are they supposed to use it? |

Use the REN command to convert it, for example:
REN DOS71.VFD DOS71.IMG |

VFD and IMA are pretty much the same format; personally I think just use WinImage and save as.

I noticed this too. Most floppy disk image files can be used just by changing the extension, but some are a bit special and won't work.

Can you use Windows software? If so, then use WinImage.
