Help, how to access the internet after installing MS DOS in VirtualBox? Can't find the virtual machine driver.

Surfing the Internet is very troublesome. I barely tried to install DOS with VMware. It took a lot of effort to find the network card driver, and many links are broken.

The general idea is to find the driver, find the browser, and configure it.

There are two types of network card drivers (NDIS Driver and Packet Drivers). The software requires Packet Drivers (download address http://www.georgpotthast.de/sioux/packet.htm). If you can't find the Packet Drivers driver, take a look at this http://www.cn-dos.net/forum/viewthread.php?tid=33390&fpage=1. (NDIS Driver can be extracted from some DOS boot disks, such as maxdos. When installing in Sandbox, extract a large exe file, change the extension to img, and extract the driver from 7z. It's an exe (com) command, and the parameters can be Baidued by yourself. Generally, it's xxxx.exe 0x60 or xxxx.exe int=60 (check the parameters by yourself).

Install Arachne by yourself. This browser is not bad. Set the IP and so on by yourself.

Use Arachne (download address http://www.glennmcc.org/) to surf the Internet. You can barely open HTTP web pages. Other things haven't been tested. At that time, the Chinese system like UCDOS wasn't loaded, so Baidu was garbled (maybe related to the browser encoding). It can be seen barely.

As for the TCP/IP protocol, it's not easy to configure. Installed Microsoft Network Client 3.0, but I don't know how to configure it well, so I gave up.

Found a wget for dos on foreign websites, but it's useless. I don't know how to configure it.

Others, if some software can't be found on Baidu, you can try some foreign search engines. After all, the software under DOS is too old.

Don't know how to configure memory. Installing Microsoft Network Client 3.0 takes a lot of memory.

Also, you can find web.archive.org from historical web pages (if it can't be opened, find a way by yourself).
