This is my previous boot disk. I updated it recently and would like to share it.

It's a 1.44mb disk using the WinME system. The io.sys comes with himem.sys and has no logo.
It takes into account the 512-byte format (in a 1.44MB disk, 513 bytes occupy 1KB). The compression software has its help information modified and space occupation optimized.
Still using NDOS 4.01, but using HDPMI32 1.88. The new version is large, cannot be compressed, and some have errors (such as 3.05). The only shortcoming of this version is that it blocks the hot boot (just press the power button by yourself).
Long filename support (CP437, CP936), XZL Pocket Dragon 2.0.
Mainly there is Ghost 2002. This version supports XP (NTFS5), so it works fine with Vista/7. But the boot needs to be repaired (using the installation CD is okay).
Note: In NDOS, you can write the image file to the NTFS disk, which is prone to errors, so don't do it. (Ghost 2003, 8.0, 8.2 support NTFS writing. But they are all too large.)
Practical tools: PKUnzip 2.5 (simplified version, doesn't support long filenames and directories), UnEraser, AEFdisk, PWD_Chng, XCP 1.63, LHark, DC.
LHark, I see the smallest compression and decompression software that supports long filenames (can create self-extracting). The compressed file.lzh made with -c5 can be directly opened by WinRAR, etc.
DC: File management, modifying file attributes, etc. The version from 2007. The author says it supports Chinese names (left Shift, F1). It's 7.5k. Unfortunately, it doesn't support long filenames.
Removed XMSMAN (no need to exit), removed NDList (try one by one by yourself).
Don't like using memory disks.
Drivers: USB mass, IDE CD-ROM (VIDE-CDD), GCDROM (SATA IDE), AHCI (SATA AHCI), USB CD, try by yourself.
If it's booting from a USB flash drive, many times there's no need to load the USB driver to read the USB flash drive, so there's a special BIOS USB option.
In this era, everyone uses USB flash drives. DOS boot disks can be made very large, like MaxDOS, etc. I'm just giving a small one here. Most of the time, it's just partitioning, copying disks, and backing up a few files.

Finally, I give you a rare software View. APack compresses it to 43k. It can open RTF/HTML/Word (97~2003).
