Microsoft released Windows for WorkGroup 3.11 version on February 15, 1994. Compared with the previous Windows 3.0 and 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 added support for peer-to-peer, peer-to-multipoint, and domains. The built-in network support makes it very simple for users to access and set up the network when the system is running. However, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 does not support the Internet dial-up network mode. It needs to install third-party software to use this function, and it often conflicts with the system's own network functions.
In terms of the user interface, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 is basically the same as Windows 3.1, except that it has built-in LAN (local area network) support.
