After reading your post, it seems that memdisk doesn't support it. Try using the latest memdisk.

Heheh, upstairs, using the new version of g4d to directly boot the MaxDOS kernel can start normally, which has been confirmed on my 4G memory machine. Of course, trying to boot only by replacing the new version of memdisk has also been confirmed to be not feasible. It seems that it is indeed the problem of the original version of GRUB. You'd better honestly switch to g4d.
