I remember the moderator said 845 motherboards are not very easy to drive!!!!
This is the first time I successfully drove a USB flash drive directly with a DOS disk without using BIOS, I'm so excited!!!!! Before, that (15.1k) Usbaspi.sys I used couldn't recognize the USB flash drive!!!!!!!!!!!! Later I found the key was that I had to use Panasonic's Usbaspi.sys (20.3k) for it to work on an 845 motherboard!!! It is said Panasonic's Usbaspi.sys (20.3k) can drive usb2.0, I haven't tried it!!!! Moderator, why does my DEVICE=UHCI.EXE stop there and hang, so I had to rem it out config.sys: DOS=high DEVICE=HIMEM.SYS DEVICE=vide-cdd.sys /d:CD-ROM DEVICE=OHCI.EXE rem DEVICE=UHCI.EXE (it hangs here, how do I solve this!!!!!!!!) DEVICE=DUSE.EXE VERBOSE=2 DRIVES=3 INT DEVICE=USBASPI.SYS /R (Panasonic USB->SCSI interface) DEVICE=ASPIOHCI.SYS /INT /ALL DEVICE=ASPIUHCI.SYS /INT /ALL DEVICE=ASPIEHCI.SYS /INT /ALL DEVICE=DI1000DD.SYS DEVICE=Usbcd.sys /d:USB-CD DEVICE=IBMUSBCD.SYS /d:IBMUSBCD 2.autoexec.bat: mscdex.exe /d:CD-ROM /d:USBCDROM /d:USB-CD /d:IBMUSBCD |

I know Panasonic's USBASPI1.SYS is more universal than Novac's USBASPI2.SYS, and it supports USB 2.0 too!
Actually, two months ago I already found that when driving my own USB flash drive (which I returned long ago by now), USBASPI1.SYS had a much higher success rate than USBASPI2.SYS... but USBASPI1.SYS also loads much more slowly than USBASPI2.SYS... |

The following is quoted from 石玉子 at 2003-7-22 0:46:56: That's because although USBASPI1.SYS has a much higher loading success rate than USBASPI2.SYS, the success rate of driving that USB flash drive of mine was still very low (only about 25%)! |

It's almost 1 o'clock now..
USB flash drive drivers still depend on the machine and hardware specs, the same USB flash drive may succeed on one computer, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will also succeed on another one! |
