Some of the systems at the company are Simplified Chinese and some are Traditional Chinese. I want it to automatically determine whether it's Simplified or Traditional and then run the corresponding code. Can this be done?

By default, use chcp to check. Simplified Chinese is 936. I've never used Traditional Chinese, so I don't know whether it's 950.

Not bad. Tested successfully under XP Simplified/Traditional Chinese, server 2003/2000 Traditional Chinese, and win7 Simplified/Traditional Chinese. Many thanks!
