My computer is XP (sp2), and the C drive is a non-NTFS partition. There is already the矮人 DOS toolkit installed on the computer, but it cannot display Chinese. So I used a virtual tool to use Chinese MS-DOS 7.1. As a result, directly using the virtual Chinese MS-DOS 7.1, there was a black screen and it couldn't be used. While restarting the computer and entering DOS through the矮人 DOS toolkit, the drive letters were messed up. The contents on the E drive all ran to the D drive, and the subdirectories on the D drive were not displayed. Entering "tw" could display Chinese, and DOS applications could be used.

The computer in my unit is XP (sp3) with an NTFS partition. I used the same method, but it could be used normally without the above-mentioned confusion. I wonder what the reason is. Please ask the experts for guidance.

Hehe, my Chinese isn't as good as in college, so I can't understand the LZ's description very well. I have to talk nonsense while guessing:

"The reason why the drive letters are messed up after entering DOS with Dwarf DOS Toolkit and all the things on drive E have all gone to drive D may be because the original D partition of the hard disk is not of FAT or FAT32 type, so it's completely normal that the original drive E (partition in FAT or FAT32 format) is recognized as drive D by the DOS system."

That makes sense. After you explained it like this, I understand. Thanks
