DOS7.1 standard CD-installed DOS, wants to play an MP3 under DOS, but tried several playback software like QV, etc., and all prompted that the sound card was not found. Please ask experts how to achieve the function of playing MP3 under DOS. I didn't find the ideal answer online. Do I need to set the BLASTER environment variable, and how to set it?

HD Audio, currently, it's extremely difficult to implement for non-hardware sound card AC97-like, let alone HDA.
