Duke was originally written with the Watcom 10.0 C/C++ compiler. This code has been updated to allow it to compile under the free version of the Watcom compiler available from their webpage (http://www.openwatcom.org). There is a documentation in it, and it says in the middle that the above English passage means: Duke was originally compiled with Watcom 10.0, but the source code released in 2003 has been updated to be able to compile with the free version of Watcom, and this free version of the compiler can be downloaded from the http://www.openwatcom.org website.
