Running interface effect:

Download:
N88-Basic Interpreter Win32 Version - Can be directly run and used greenly

Features:
Imitation of N88-basic, but not fully emulating some functional functions of graphics, such as view, window, etc. The available memory is less than the original. The specially added Play command with music ability not possessed by the original can share the MIDI effect with the computer. If you study in depth, you can completely treat it as programmable MIDI coding to realize your music creation & dreams.

================================================

Running interface effect:

Ubasic Interpreter, usable under pure DOS

Features:
Relatively high precision. In the case of calculating decimals, the first 18 digits of data are valid values (the value of tan(355/226) has very low precision, which is an exception for reference only). And when there are only integers, there is no error. Generally applied to the calculation of simple super large numbers (without decimals). Compatible with Qbasic drawing function functions, but does not provide string processing function functions.
Provides inverse trigonometric function functions, such as asin(.5), etc., and can be used as a programmable scientific calculator based on the Basic language.

Actually, it's quite fun to run the DOS version of n88basic under PC98 with anex86. By the way, did you start out playing machines like PC88 back then?

Reply to floor 2. I first came into contact with Basic when I was in senior high school, learning a little superficial impression during the Laser310 microcomputer class at school. I was very surprised that the microcomputer could handle the requirements of people compiling text streams with line numbers to do calculations and drawing. Then I graduated soon and didn't contact it again. Then I just played this Anex86 emulator recently, and only felt interesting when I saw N88. Then I also collected to see if there is an independent version of the emulator. Indeed, there is no compatible original version. I only found the first one that seems to be a pseudo - version, and it is still made by the Japanese themselves. In this way, the Japanese also like this N88 very much and are very willing to inherit and carry forward this heritage of their own country.

Let's talk about the time when I played on the original Apple][+ in 1988. The I/O part of what I wrote later was almost completely done with PEEK/POKE, and then I played with Apple 2 assembly.

N88 was originally developed in 1980, a collaboration between NEC and M$. It was ported from Z80 machines like PC8001, PC8801 to x86 machines like PC98xx.
