My Windows XP accidentally got updated online, and as a result it won't boot up and is asking to be reactivated. Does any expert have a solution? Please let me know, thanks in advance.
I downloaded two activation programs from the Internet, but neither of them works.

I tried it. It says to log in as Administrator and then run that exe file, but I don't know how to log in as Administrator.

Your XP isn't an original version, and it may also have been installed with an unattended install.
Another possibility is that you've changed your hardware more than 3 times!
I can give you an original XP CD ISO that can be activated online.

Did you install Service Pack 1? If you chose “archive” during installation, just uninstall it and it'll be fine...
There's another way:
Boot the computer with your original installation CD, choose setup, and the installer will automatically find the XP that's already installed and ask whether you want a new installation or a repair. Choose repair. The installer will overwrite your current system files with the cracked system files, while all your personal settings and installed software will remain unchanged.

Thanks for everyone's replies, especially the friends on post #4 and post #6. Your analysis was all correct, and I've already solved the problem.
