UMBPCI is already up to 3.48, adding support for Intel 865G/865P and VIA P4X266. Below is the update history for its latest few versions:

Does anyone know whether umbpci.sys can be compressed with UPX? Will there be any problems after compression? Thanks

Yes.. The UMBPCI 3.48 in my MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk is compressed with UPX, and I haven't found any problems..
