My computer is running XP. I installed DOS with VMware, and also installed Microsoft Network Client. All kinds of settings have been set up properly. I’m using bridged mode, DOS and XP are on the same subnet, both are in the MShome workgroup, and my computer is also connected with several other computers in the room. But there’s one problem: when I use net view I can see mine and the other several computers, and I can also use the command net view \\kkk(the name of another computer) to view its contents. But strangely, when I use net view \\hhh (the local machine name), it always says error53:the computer name specified in the network path cannot be located. Hope this can be solved, thanks!

The local machine needs to install Microsoft’s virtual network card, Microsoft Loopback Adapter. It’s in “Add/Remove Hardware.”
