I'm really unlucky. I messed up the system on my laptop, and ended up formatting all the drives too. Then when I wanted to reinstall the system, I painfully discovered that it simply can't boot from the CD-ROM (because it's a PCMCIA interface) or from USB. The only thing that works is the floppy drive, so I'm wondering whether there is some kind of boot disk that, after booting into DOS, can load PCMCIA devices and then let me install from the CD~
This lousy laptop has already got me completely overwhelmed. Just hearing PCMCIA makes me mad... |
