I got online under DOS 7.1 using 8138 PACKET,
enabled UCDOS,
and when using FTP.EXE (downloaded from this site), I can connect to the main server, but when I want to use Chinese characters to type commands, I just can't get it to work no matter what.
For example:
cd software downloads
When entering this command, it won't type the characters you want, only some other things such as: 8). Then when executing this command, the system says there is no such command.
It seems this software does not support input, it can only display Chinese characters.

I wonder if any expert has a good solution? Or can you recommend another FTP software under DOS that supports typing Chinese characters?

It seems to be a limitation of FTP.EXE itself on characters above ASCII 128... very similar to the limitation of DEBUG.EXE...

There is no problem if you use the ftp.exe from 98, as long as you can input Chinese～～～

I used the DOS FTP software downloaded from this site. When running it (FTP32) it prompts cannot set local ip-address. What is the problem? The contents of wattcp.cfg are as followsIP = 192.168.0.88
NETMASK = 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY = 192.168.0.253
