Using DOS Well on LINUX (Terminal)
I have been using the LINUX operating system. I found that there is something on LINUX called Terminal. Actually it is a virtual DOS. It can do commands such as ping. If you're interested, please reply. If there are more than 3 people, then I will give a detailed introduction.

Don't try to mystify things, that sort of thing isn't popular here!
Even wengier's posts, with that much substance, never said he had to get however many replies before posting!
If you don't want to say it, then don't say it now—nobody is begging you!

Jeez~ If that is DOS then why do we need VPC for Linux
I'm posting here right now from Win2000 on VPC for Linux...
You didn't explain it clearly, is it that thing called bash? That's Linux's shell, just like DOS's COMMAND.COM.
Linux also has the ping command === don't think it's DOS

That is actually the "Linux window" in X-WIN, just like the "DOS window" in Win3.x/9x.

But DOS's default command processor is COMMAND, while Linux's default command processor is Bash (there is Bash under DOS too, but ordinary people don't use it much).

LINUX is a terminal, and its biggest difference from the DOS terminal is that the commands are different. It is a text-based LINUX operating system.

Computer Enthusiast, you're a windows enthusiast, right?
You and even wengier don't understand GNU/Linux.

I'm a senior UNIX programmer, and also know k-sh, c-sh, moderator, I advise you, you'd better kick that low-grade trash ("Computer Enthusiast" out, his character is very bad, he talks nonsense. The ping command exists in windows, dos, unix.linux, all of them, and it is based on TCP/IP. Also, MS windows has a system GDI that is tightly tied to the system, while unix, linux x-window is network-based.
