I'm using the DOS command
dir/s>a.txt
This command can write the DIR output to A.TXT, but the DIR contents are not shown on the screen.
How can I have it display on the screen and also write to A.TXT at the same time?

Not that kind of function. What I want is to display it while writing it to the file at the same time. Yours displays it only after it finishes writing.
