. I used a DOS boot disk to start the computer. Under the A:\>SYS C: command, drive C: got four files. 1, IO.SYS 2,MSDOS.SYS 3,COMMAND.COM 4,DRVSPACE.BIN. Rebooted. It reached the C:\ interface, (can this be called a pure DOS interface?)
But in this interface it can only see drive C:, and cannot see any of the other partitions. After rebooting again (using the DOS boot disk), at A:\>, all partitions can be seen (DIR).
I don't know where the difference between the two is. Or rather, which more files need to be copied from the DOS boot disk to drive C: to achieve the same effect as booting from drive A:.
