There is fundamentally no such thing as an XP DOS boot disk, because WinXP is not based on the DOS kernel. But under WinXP you can make an MS-DOS 8.0 boot disk.

The following is quoted from Roy's post at 2003-7-16 20:42:43: That's only part of the files inside i386. Actually XP does not boot in DOS mode; the reason it was made to boot from floppy disks is that some customers don't have CD-ROMs. Now M$ has already announced that after 2003 Server, floppy boot will no longer be supported. The Chinese edition of 2003 can no longer be found on the M$ website in those seven-disk versions; if there are any, they were all made by users themselves. |
