Put the .IMG and .EXE files in the root directory of drive E.

I can't run the .IMG file when I type it in DOS, but I can run the .EXE file. For example:

A:\>E:\.IMG --------->> This program can't run (such as HDDREG1.71.IMG, LOADISO.IMG, etc.)

A:\>E:\.EXE --------->> This program can run (such as SMARTDRV.EXE, LOADISO.EXE, etc.)

How to make the above .IMG run like .EXE in DOS?

Images aren't programs, how can they run?

You can load a floppy disk image under DOS and then execute the programs inside it.

Vflopp
Can load an IMG or IMA image file and assign a drive letter to it for you to use.
IMG or IMA image files are as convenient as using a local disk.

Usage: Vfloppy [image 1] [image 2] [...]
Vfloppy /u Unmount
