I've been searching for years on how to run OS/2 1.x on modern virtual machines without success.

Today, I偶然found a VHD of OS/2 1.3 that can run on VPC 2007 and a few previous versions.

The download link is here, and you need to register an account to download
http://vetusware.com/download/OS2%201.30.1%20Installed%20Drive%20Image%201.30.1/?id=4381

The maker of this image installed the following OS/2 1.3 on an antique 386 machine and then made the VHD

For the usage method, set the memory of the VPC virtual machine to 16M, then boot from this VHD, and note that you need to wait about 45 seconds when booting

It seems unnecessary, I can run OS/2 1.3 whether I turn hardware virtualization on or off.
Note: My CPU supports hardware virtualization

Also, can Windows 7's Windows VPC and Win2008's Hyper-V start this vhd?

Now I haven't installed Win7 and Win2008 x64, and haven't tried it.

But VirtualBox can boot this vhd.

I tried the latest VMware 7.x and found that VMware actually supports OS/2 1.3. Not only does it support OS/2 running, but also OS/2 1.3 installation. I don't know when VMware's support for OS/2 has become so good. I remember that VMware didn't support OS/2 before, but now it seems to support the entire series from OS/2 1.3 to eComStation.

VMware 7.1 virtual machine configuration for installing OS/2 1.3:
Operating system type: other
Memory: 16M
Hard disk: 0.1G IDE interface
Remove the CD-ROM drive in the virtual machine

I successfully installed it under VMWare, but I want to ask how to make VMWare support the mouse driver of OS/2.

But I don't know if you need to install the PS/2 driver to do so.

Maybe it's because Parallels 1.0 started supporting OS2 as a stimulus
