I downloaded the MS DOS710, 5/16 edition yesterday. I downloaded two copies from different places (one of them was from the forum). The readme in both says they are the May 16 edition, but one of them has random hangs during boot. Comparing them with hd-copy 2.3, the first sector is different; comparing 0000H-0200H with winhex, the result is that there are differences in two places, at 04H: 29h28h, and 06H: 7eh53h;
After booting from floppy, I used Pocket Dragon, then edit readme.txt out of far memory; then after quitting xzl I saw cause a divide overflow error on the screen; then I ran xzl again, edit readme.txt, and the pc speaker started beee____ing wildly, with garbled text scrolling crazily across the screen.
After DOS booted, I typed ntfsdos, and it prompted that it was generating an image (mount). As a result it entered the image dir, and then a directory called window sever (???) kept scrolling wildly. I could only stop it with CTRL+C or F12.
For now I've only found these few.

ps:
Has anyone used the Nero series to burn CDs? It has a bootable option. Besides directly reading the boot sector from a disc, it can also use a boot sector image file (img), but the img generated with hd-copy doesn't work. How is the correct img file (the kind it wants) generated?

nero can use img files generated by hd-copy, but when making the img you must turn off the compression parameter.
But I still recommend using getbtimg to generate the img file.

Maybe one of them was uploaded incorrectly. Try the other one. If it still doesn't work, try the July 2 edition.

Which option has the compression parameter? Mine is version 2.0a
