I don't know what's going on with my XP. Every time after booting and entering the interface, it hangs after about 30 seconds.
After a cold reboot, it inexplicably detects new hardware, a C-Media sound card (good grief! The driver was installed long ago...)
Then it hangs again...
After another cold reboot, after finding a whole bunch of errors, it goes back to normal.
Safe reboot has no problems at all.
But after powering off, the problem is still there~
Specs are XP1800+, kingmaxddr333 256(1), via kt333, winxp

I think it's most likely a hardware problem. Check it over. Also, for a CMEDIA sound card you need to find drivers that support XP. I had a card like that before too, and it caused a lot of problems under XP. Why don't you go to Driver Home and look for a newer driver?

This should be a hardware driver configuration problem, right...

But as far as I can see, the hardware configuration is all normal.
Also, when it fixes errors at startup, what does it mean when it writes a lot of files to file 19?
Thanks, moderator.

Try using System Doctor to check it and repair it!

Could it be a hardware compatibility problem?
