To all you dual-system users:

Hello! This is my first time wanting to install a dual-boot system, so I really don't have any experience. I'd appreciate your advice! My goal is to install an old Chinese version of Windows 3.2 on drive C, which already has Windows 98 Second Edition installed, and make sure the two systems don't conflict with each other—so I can use this one when I want this one, and that one when I want that one. Can this be done?

Also, I heard that the Chinese version of Windows 3.2 simply does not support FAT32 at all. My machine currently has Windows 98 Second Edition installed, so does that mean my file system is FAT32? Also, I have never installed the Chinese version of Windows 3.2 before—how do I install it? I'd really appreciate everyone's advice, thank you!

Use spfdisk to manage it... that's what I use... they won't interfere with each other.

I'm a newbie when it comes to this. Could you explain it more clearly?

I remember there's something that can modify MSDOS7.10 so that it can install WIN3.2 directly. I used it once before. Go ask Boss W for it, she should have it.

Found it.
3xStart 43K fixes IO.SYS in MS-DOS 7.10 so that Win3.x can run in MS-DOS 7.10. For detailed instructions, please see the article "Running Windows 3.x in MS-DOS 7.10" in the "DOS Articles" section. 1999.1

I've read the article. I'm just afraid that after using it to modify things, my original Win98 won't work anymore!

The original one can still work. I used it once before, it works.

Then does Win3.2 support large hard disks and large memory? And what FAT is my current file system?

If I remember right, FAT32 seems to be no problem, I think. It's been too long, I forgot.

How do I use "3xStart"? Is it like this: "3xStart c:\Io.sys”" and then press Enter?

You can just run it directly, there are options you can choose.
