I’m also using a USB keyboard, so why haven’t I run into this problem?

Are you first running Win98, then using the option under Shut Down!

Not running it in the MS-DOS mode from within Win98?

There probably isn't a USB keyboard driver in Win98, so the keyboard can't be used.
But the 815E motherboard supports USB devices, so if I boot the computer with a normal boot disk, the keyboard can be used under DOS.

I saw on the forum that there's a complete USB driver collection, and it says it can support a USB keyboard, but I don't know how to set autoexec.bat and config.sys, so I'd like to ask how to set them. Thanks

Generally, you just need to enable the USB keyboard option in the BIOS, and then you can use the USB keyboard under any circumstances!

If I boot with a normal DOS boot disk, I can use the USB keyboard under DOS, and that should show that it is already enabled in the BIOS.

But the strange thing is that in the MS-DOS from Win98’s Exit, it can’t be used?

Then try USBLink 2.5. It supports USB keyboards and USB mice.

How should autoexec.bat and config.sys be set?
