Using the configuration you made for me, after booting it says
error:no CD-ROM drivers detected at all
error:device driver aborts loading


device driver not found: ’IDE-CD’
no valid CDROM device drivers eslected

After running the game it also says it can't find the CD-ROM drive. It seems the game needs a CD-ROM drive. Is there any way to change that?

If the game is run with a BAT file, like "Doukyuusei 2", then you can modify the BAT file so it won't read the CD-ROM drive. But some games have the program itself check whether there is a CD-ROM drive, and then you'll need an actual CD-ROM drive....

Then just use a virtual CD-ROM drive..

Yes, Tianqingzhuan does run with play.bat, but it just simply points to another game executable appare. I looked carefully through that file, and it seems there's no way to remove the CD-ROM-reading related settings.

Does the webmaster have any good software to recommend? I'll go take a look first.
