I used the Super Universal MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk for some tests and found the following problems:
1. The Super Universal MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk does not support motherboards with more than 4 USB ports. If USB2.0 and USB1.1 are both present at the same time, it also does not support them. It hangs while loading the driver. 2. My USB external hard disk is FAT32 12G, and the computers are an IBM T20 and an HP desktop. When choosing options 3-4 to boot, when {Made by wengier.china dos union.all rights reserved } appears, it stays there for a long time. 3. After {unicode support is enabled } appears, it crashes and cannot move anymore. 4. After {please choose the hard disk cache you like in 8 seconds} appears, there are three choices {pc-cache smartdrv cancle}. What does this mean? 5. When I used the February 2003 MS-DOS7.10 to drive the USB external hard disk, it worked very well. It recognized the USB external hard disk smoothly. |

Too similar. I also use a 12G IBM external USB drive, also a board with more than 4 USB ports, also both 1.1 and 2.0, also one HP desktop and one Asus 850 P4. That's the only difference. The situation I ran into is exactly the same! Too bad I wasn't as lucky as you; I tried all versions and not a single one worked.

"After {unicode support is enabled } appears, it crashes and cannot move anymore" — I guess NTFSDOS itself has some compatibility problems... But on my computer everything is normal.
"The meaning of 'After {please choose the hard disk cache you like in 8 seconds} appears, there are three choices {pc-cache smartdrv cancle}'" is to choose a suitable disk cache program to load. The three options each have their own advantages and disadvantages, so everyone is given a choice. "When I used the February 2003 MS-DOS7.10 to drive the USB external hard disk, it worked very well. It recognized the USB external hard disk smoothly" Actually, in that version, wasn't there only the single line "DEVICE=DUSE.EXE" in it... But it cannot run on one of my computers. So I added quite a few options to DUSE, and with them it can run normally on several of my computers. But I still haven't tried it on other computers... |

The following is quoted from lxging at 2003-7-8 12:15:29: Yes... One of the main improvement goals of the future "China DOS Union Super DOS Boot Disk" is compatibility... It was mentioned before... So everyone is welcome to raise all kinds of compatibility-related problems and do more compatibility testing, in order to improve its compatibility. |

I tried it too, and it still cannot boot normally. Looking forward to the "China DOS Union Super DOS Boot Disk".

When I choose the third option (load USB driver program), after entering DOS it crashes when the A: drive letter appears;
when I choose the first option to enter DOS, it also crashes after using addev to load the USB driver program. |

Moderator, don't make the "China DOS Union Super DOS Boot Disk" into an all-purpose boot disk. The main thing is solving some specific problems. What we really want very much right now is an automatic boot item for loading USB external hard disks. Can you put some effort into this area? Whether it has LOGO technology is still secondary. I will keep doing experiments in this area.

The following is quoted from lxging at 2003-7-8 22:42:34: What do you mean? I don't quite understand. Actually, the so-called "Super DOS Boot Disk" is about building a super DOS platform for use... |

What we use more often is driving USB external hard disks. Can the "Super DOS Boot Disk" do better in compatibility in this area? Otherwise, if it hangs as soon as an external hard disk is plugged in, that's no good either.
