Under pure DOS I can actually use a USB flash drive directly, without a driver. In my BIOS the boot settings are 1.floppy, 2.hdd-0,
3.cdrom, and in DOS I can actually use the USB flash drive directly as b:. My motherboard is 845d!!!!!!!!!!

Could it be that on very new computers, the BIOS has “USB Thumbdrives for DOS" set to "Enabled”? But I can't get it to work here.

There isn't any option like USB Thumbdrives for DOS"为"Enabled in my BIOS. What's going on? My younger brother's motherboard is also 845d, and it can also be used directly!!!!!!!!!!!!

First enter DOS (boot from the hard drive, then press F8 to enter command DOS). At this point I plug in the USB flash drive, then its indicator light flashes like crazy, and then I can use the USB flash drive as b:
