PocketDOS is a DOS emulator in WinCE. That's far from a direct DOS system... And actually, it's just a program in WinCE, the same as other programs. There's not enough resources for it... No advantage. Why didn't the developers of PocketDOS directly develop a DOS system for mobile phones? I don't have that ability.

The CPU of mobile phones is generally ARM, not x86. The instruction sets are different. DOS systems and DOS programs cannot be run directly.

Is the one entered when flashing the E398 a BIOS or DOS? I've heard many people online say that entering with *+#+power button is called DOS... But you can't execute any DOS commands in it, only flash with a data cable. I've heard of mobile phone DOS. Personally, I think it's more likely to be DOS in the WM system. After all, it's from Microsoft. I'm not sure about Symbian. S60 has a chance, but don't think about S40. I haven't come into contact with other systems. Personally, I think they are basically systems that are almost non-existent, such as the Moto W270 and Moto W206 that I use.

There is PocketDOS on Windows Mobile, which has been cracked. There are also DOS virtual machines on Symbian, and some people are still running Win95 on Symbian online. If it comes to porting, the most likely one to be ported is the open-source FreeDOS. Isn't Linux, which is also open-source like FreeDOS, already ported to mobile phones?
