The best of software under DOS
1. The most mature Chinese character support system - ucdos98
Why others were not selected: CCDOS97 is said not to support direct screen writing; tw always hangs when returning to win98...
2. The best Wubi: Smart Wubi DOS edition
Under Windows the best Wubi is Smart Wubi, and under DOS the best Wubi is also Smart Wubi - although it stopped being updated long ago.
3. The most meticulous disk analysis tool: scs4.0 (versions above G)
It put an end to the encrypted disks of the kv series, and is even a bit more powerful than cp2000.
4. The most long-lived tool: mouse
No need to upgrade it, and it still works the same way for decades on end.
5. The archive tool with the highest compression ratio: ARJ
The standard back then.
6. The most kick-ass file operation tool: spc (the pc-type tool from Softview)
Good grief, it even supports winxp, and can work under ntfs/fat32/fat16, while pc can only work under fat16.
7. The software most neglectful of its proper work: kv3000
Everybody on earth knows it, the emergency function it pushed so hard...
8. The antivirus software with the fastest running speed: vrvdos
At the present stage it can still keep getting updates, has the smallest size (only 1/4 of a floppy disk), a clean interface, and the fastest startup speed.
Others like rav and kv2003 both need 3 disks.
9. The editor software with the most outstanding contribution: wps
Back then, quite a few ** workers made their living with this thing.
10. The software most likely to fool people: hd2.x
This powerful thing, the original work only went up to 2.0 and then stopped being updated, yet before long even 3.0 had come out.
