title Boot from ISO
map --mem (fd0)/boot/0PE129.ISO (fd0) map --hook chainloader (fd0) boot I boot from DOS on a USB flash drive and load the GRUB menu, but with the above code I can't load the ISO successfully, while IMG works. How can this be solved? |

title boot from iso
find --set-root /boot/0pe129.iso map --mem /boot/0pe129.iso (0xff) map --hook chainloader (0xff)/ntldr(PE boot file, maybe not this one) You can give it a try, not tested.。。 |

Some discs won't be recognized if they are placed on a drive formatted as NTFS!

The problem has already been solved. Mine also works. What should be pointed out is that some “iso” files cannot be loaded, because they need to look for the physical CD area.

Mm! Thanks.
One more question: what practical uses are there for loading an ISO? First, there is no way to install by loading the ISO of an XP installation disc. Also, when loading PE, PE cannot load external programs. So at present, I haven't really had any practical use for the method of loading an ISO. |

The information from the poster above is too old. Using ISO to boot PE has long been able to load external programs already (though there are still some limitations), go take a look at Wuyou.
