As the title says.
I originally tried it a bit. My method was to copy over MS-DOS's mscdex.exe and ide.sys, and it can recognize the CD-ROM drive, but every time I insert or remove a CD, pcdos has to restart, which is really depressing. Please, experts, give me some pointers.
First, here are my settings:

@echo off
set path=c:\dos;%path%
set temp=c:\temp
lh c:\dos\mouse.com
lh c:\dos\doskey.com
lh c:\dos\mscdex.exe /d:mscd000

files=30
buffers=10
dos=high
devicd=c:\dos\himem.sys
devicd=c:\dos\emm386.exe
buffers=15,0
dos=high,umb
devicehigh=c:\dos\smartdrv.exe /double_buffer
devicehigh=c:\dos\ide.sys /d:mscd000
devicdhigh=c:\dos\setver.exe
devicdhigh=c:\dos\power.exe

Thanks in advance, everyone.

I don't know whether it's a compatibility problem with the CD-ROM driver; try a different one. Also, PC-DOS has its own MSCDEX.EXE, so it's best to use its own, although this should be unrelated to compatibility. In theory, PC-DOS is 100% compatible with the corresponding version of MS-DOS.
