If entering GRUB from the DOS mode, can one still return from GRUB to the USB - booted DOS (non - IMG)? Also, by what method should some disk cache and CD - ROM drive drivers be loaded, because according to the beginner's tutorial, when entering GRUB from DOS, one should not load resident programs.

After entering GRUB from DOS, you can use the QUIT command to return to DOS.
