2009 - 01 - 02 - U_IDE problem handling CD/DVD read errors has been fixed. - Fixed the way U_IDE handles CD/DVD "read errors" 2008 - 12 - 29 - U_IDE can now cache up to 1.8 GIGABYTES of data! Loading scheme and "MvData" XMS subroutine improved. It seems more appropriate to change the 2008 in the title of the original poster to 2009.

It seems that QCACHE + QCDROM + GCDROM ---> UIDE? It seems that QHIMEM ---> XMGR? Then the original CONFIG.SYS DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\QCDROM.SYS /D:IDE-CD DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\GCDROM.SYS /D:SATA-CD0 /C0 DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\GCDROM.SYS /D:SATA-CD1 /C1 DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\GCDROM.SYS /D:SATA-CD2 /C2 DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\QCACHE.SYS Can it be changed to DEVICEHIGH=C:\BOOT\UIDE.SYS /D:CD-DVD-0 /D:CD-DVD-1 /D:CD-DVD-2 /D:CD-DVD-3 [ Last edited by 188950701 on 2009-1-20 at 20:18 ]

12-Jan-09 --------- UIDE now caches 2 GIGABYTES of data! UIDE now takes 1056 upper-memory bytes and 3840 HMA bytes for any cache size (search tables now use XMS memory)! /L switch deleted.
