I registered yesterday. To be honest, the most direct task of registration was just to get points to download two GBK font libraries. But after all, I'm someone who came from the DOS era, very nostalgic, so I wandered around everywhere. Just because of the nostalgia for DOS, I decided to say a few more words here.
I think that although DOS still has certain usage needs at present, it definitely has no bright future itself. So I really think the so-called "promoting DOS" in the articles of association is a daydream. All the sections of this forum are about DOS application technologies, and the result will gradually become bleak synchronously, which can be seen from the posting rate.
If really as the theme of this site says: "DOS represents freedom, openness and development", then the only way to develop is to study and improve the DOS kernel, with the purpose of learning and designing your own operating system. Starting from the bottom layer, this can attract more expert talents, and many application problems such as related drivers, Chinese localization, commands, etc. can also be solved at the same time.
So I think the strategic thinking, development direction and section design of this site all have places worthy of further discussion. Of course, if most of you here feel "as long as it can... under... is enough", then just treat me as this ignorant guy who has never been here!
