After reinstalling WIN98 on my computer, my hard disk that used to be 40G is now only 30G. How can I recover the lost hard disk space???

Why would it be lost?
What operations did you perform before it was lost? Please think it over carefully, then tell everyone. Generally speaking, just reinstalling win98 would not cause hard disk space to be lost. Also, where did you check your hard disk space? |

Run FDISK and choose option 4 to see whether the partitions and partition sizes are normal.

Generally when it's said to be 40G, it's actually less than 40G. After partitioning, some space will also be used up. If it's a bit over 30G and close to 40G, then that's normal.
