wengier's boot disk is 1.44, but my floppy is only 1.38. What should I do? Even deleting HD-COPY doesn't help.

Use a new disk.

This strange problem again? Where is there such a thing as a 1.38MB floppy? Right now there are only 1.44MB floppies! Just use the included MAKEBOOT to make a boot disk.

A 1.44M floppy is actually 1.38M. More accurately, it's 1457K. There is no 1.44M floppy that can hold 1.44M. WENGIER's boot IMG is labeled 1.44M, and that means this image file is in 1.44M floppy format. Once written to a floppy, it actually only has 1.37M.

That's right! Under 98, my floppy is only 1.38m too! Perfectly normal!

wengier:
The boot disk you made takes rather long to boot. Is it because too many programs are being loaded? Will that affect the lifespan of the boot disk? Why not use F32 to replace FDISK.

Mainly it's caused by the floppy disk itself being slow.

F32 is in Chinese, right? So it's not too suitable... that's why I chose to use the English FDISK together with SPFDISK.
